Ok, say to yourself that the ancients don’t matter. WHAT DO YOU MEAN, I ask, they have provided us with some of the most beautiful artworks, the most amazingly inspirational statues which can surround us in our homes and offices to lighten, brighten, and envliven our day. The egyptian statues are dramatic in a way that no one has ever determined a way to replace; we see absolute beauty in the straight lines of the figures of Anubus, Osirus, and King Tut. In contrast, the ancient Greek civilization has provided us with Greek statues which have absolutely voluptuous sculptural lines in famously known people and creatures like Venus, Artemus, Pan, Athena, and the Greek Sphinx. I do not want to see these ancient offerings to our daily lives disappear, EVER!
